“If I could tell the whole story in words, I wouldn’t need to lug around a camera” Lewis Hine
Photography is about distilling down one or two ideas to their basic components then telling the story with one fleeting image. That’s what I love about it. There isn’t the luxury of other scenes to explain your point of view … there is only the image. That is the power, and the challenge, of photography. And that’s why I love it.
After 18 years as a photographer, god knows how many cameras, premier league footballers, politicians, prima donnas, prima ballerinas, ad campaigns, magazine covers, kids, animals, cars and movie stars, I’m still as passionate about perfecting my images as the day I started.
I strive to deliver exceptional quality in every aspect of the image. I have an uncompromising, to the point of perfectionist, commitment to producing the best result for the client. I pride myself in always keeping the client’s brief, needs and aims at the forefront of my mind when undertaking a job.
A truly great advertising image is interesting, well constructed and does a great job for the client. I am at my best when I am involved in the creative process and have delivered some of my best work when faced with the seemingly impossible brief. However, I try to do this with the a down-to-earth, no ego approach. I surround myself with the best people and I let them do their jobs.
